Tour itinerary
- Arrival at Ashgabat International Airport. Upon arrival at Ashgabat International Airport, proceed through immigration and health procedures. Meet with your guide, who will assist you with the transfer to the city.
- Visit to the National Museum of Turkmenistan After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of the National Museum of Turkmenistan. With over 116,000 exhibits, the museum provides insights into the unique history and culture of the country. Among the artifacts displayed are ancient discoveries from Nisa and Merv, as well as a collection of traditional Turkmen carpets, jewelry, and household items.
- Excursion to the Ruins of Ancient Nisa Located 18 km from Ashgabat, the ruins of ancient Nisa, the former capital of the Parthian Empire, await exploration. Here, you can observe the remains of luxurious palaces, temples, and fortress walls that once protected the residence of the Parthian rulers.
- Visit to the Underground Lake Kow-Ata Next, we will visit the famous Baharden Cave, home to the underground Kow-Ata Lake, located 60 km from Ashgabat. Its warm waters are believed to have healing properties that improve circulation and strengthen the nervous system. Swimming is limited to 20 minutes to maximize health benefits.
- Alem Cultural Center After lunch, visit the Alem Cultural Center, famous for its space museum and indoor Ferris wheel, recognized by the Guinness World Records as the tallest indoor Ferris wheel in the world.
- Sightseeing Tour of Ashgabat We will pass by the Oguzkhan Presidential Palace Complex, a white-marble residence of the President of Turkmenistan, and visit the Ertugrul Gazi Mosque, designed in Ottoman style.
- Visit to the Arch of Neutrality and Independence Monument The 118-meter-high Independence Monument symbolizes the unity of the Turkmen people, while the Arch of Neutrality, adorned with a statue of the former president, is one of Ashgabat's landmarks.
- Visit to Ashgabat’s Famous Fountains We will explore the “Oguzkhan and Sons” fountain complex, where 27 fountains spread over 15 hectares symbolize the peace and unity of the Turkmen people. This unique complex is also listed in the Guinness World Records.
- Cable Car and Television Tower To end the day, enjoy a cable car ride to the Archabil Plane Tree Park, and visit the TV Tower — the tallest structure in Turkmenistan. The tower houses a revolving restaurant where you can dine while enjoying panoramic views of Ashgabat.
- Transfer to Ashgabat International Airport After a vibrant day exploring Ashgabat and its surroundings, you will have an organized transfer back to Ashgabat International Airport. Your guide will accompany you to the airport, assist with formalities, and ensure a comfortable conclusion to your one-day tour of Turkmenistan’s capital.
